Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents for couples living on campus to supervise 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, wellness, and activities, with devotions and Sunday Chapel.

The role starts with a nine-on, three-off cycle and progresses to a Placed Houseparent position. Couples must be married at least two years, both 27+, and ready to commit to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
