Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes, supervising and supporting 8–13 students, helping with academics, emotions, and daily routines.

The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule, with potential to move to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities; plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany Sunday Chapel services.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
