Synova Group in Mounds View, MN is seeking a Flex Float Direct Support Professional to provide reliable coverage across multiple homes and programs, delivering compassionate, person-centered support.

The role offers variety, opportunities to work with different individuals and teams, and growth in social services. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and be willing to pass a DHS background check.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (21 for Children’s Crisis sites).
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; clean driving record.
• Access to an insured vehicle.
• Pass a DHS background study.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and support individuals in developing friendships and community connections.
• Assist with daily routines: cooking, household tasks, personal care, hygiene, social and leisure activities.
• Support health and safety needs, money management, and behavior support strategies.
• Administer medications according to training and procedures.
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and outings.
• Document services and events using an online system.
• Encourage independence while providing appropriate support.
• Provide coverage across multiple program locations as staffing needs arise.
