Job summary

Bevara Building Services in Houston seeks a Flex Building Engineer to provide world-class service at commercial airport buildings in the Northeast Houston region on an as-needed basis. The role supports the Building Engineering team, training occasionally and backing up full-time staff during vacations or emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred 3–5 years in commercial building operations and engineering.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and make independent decisions.
• Basic computer skills and smartphone proficiency.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

• Assist with fire panel and extinguisher inspections.
• Ensure a safe job site and adherence to safety standards (Company, OSHA, client).

About the Position:

We are looking for a dedicated individual to provide world-class service at some of our commercial airport buildings in the Northeast Houston region on as "as needed" basis.

As a Flex Building Engineer, you will work alongside our Building Engineering team to provide support and back up coverage on an as-needed basis. The Flex Engineer will train with our full-time Building Engineer a few hours a month to stay current and familiar with the buildings and will act as back up coverage during vacations or possibly provide additional emergency support.

As such, you will be responsible for maintaining the property’s physical condition and safeguarding it against damage, loss, and deterioration. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, and versatile—a true jack of all trades.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule- perhaps a retired Engineer or someone who owns their own business.

This position is perfect for someone looking for some additional hours per month but not tied to a set schedule.

Typical Hours: 1st shift

What you’ll be doing:

Requirements:
