Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts Inc. seeks a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our Fleet & Maintenance team at our Long Beach shop. You will fabricate, repair, and modify truck bodies and fleet equipment using MIG, TIG, stick, and arc welding.

Read blueprints, perform precision welds, and collaborate with mechanics to craft effective repair solutions. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of welding experience, strong knowledge of metal types, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school welding cert preferred.
• Minimum 3 years welding/fabrication experience in heavy truck or fleet maintenance.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, stick and arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and modify truck bodies, trailers, frames, and fleet equipment.
• Read blueprints, schematics and drawings to determine methods.
• Operate welders, plasma cutters, torches, grinders and related tools safely.
• Perform structural repairs to ensure fleet safety and compliance.
• Inspect welds for defects and quality assurance.
• Maintain tools and support shop safety policies.
