Job summary

Prevueaps in Glendale Heights is seeking a Fleet Mechanic / Shop Helper to maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will support warehousing duties, tool and equipment repairs, and general shop maintenance to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years of auto/mechanical experience, strong diagnostic skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience as an auto mechanic or in a related mechanical field.
• General automotive knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Working knowledge of automotive systems (engines, transmissions, HVAC, brakes, electrical, etc.).
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency calls as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Manage inventory and order automotive parts and supplies.

$21.00 - 32.00/hour | Glendale Heights

A well-established local construction contractor is looking for a reliable and mechanically inclined Fleet Mechanic / Shop Helper to join our team in Glendale Heights.

In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our fleet of vehicles and equipment in top working condition while also supporting general shop and yard operations.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Overtime as needed)
