Job summary

Johnson Plumbing — Design Build Contractors seeks a hands-on Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our vehicle fleet and site equipment in Colton, CA. The role supports warehouse operations, keeps yards organized, and assists with deliveries. Full-time schedule, daytime hours, with pay in the hourly range shown.

The ideal candidate has fleet or diesel experience, strong knowledge of engines, brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems, and can safely operate diagnostic and hand tools. ASE a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally with fleet, diesel, or light/medium-duty trucks.
• Working knowledge of engine, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools safely and effectively.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical work in a shop and yard environment.
• ASE certification a plus, but not required.

Job Title: Fleet Mechanic — In-House Fleet & Warehouse Mechanic

Pay: $31.25 - $36.50 an hour

Schedule: Full-time Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

We're looking for a hands‑on General Mechanic to keep our fleet running strong and our warehouse and yard organized and safe.

The Fleet Mechanic maintains and repairs the company's fleet of vehicles and equipment, keeps the warehouse and yard clean, organized, and operational, and supports the team with deliveries as needed. This is a critical, hands‑on role that keeps our crews on the road and our jobsites supplied.
