Responsibilities

• Adjust parts and systems to ensure vehicle fitness and operation.
• Check fluids, tires, and accessories to identify leaks and needed repairs.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and determine repairs.
• Fabricate parts as needed for repairs.
• Inspect school buses and district vehicles for preventive maintenance and safety standards.
• Maintain tools and work area in a safe condition.
• Perform bus driver duties to ensure route coverage.
• Conduct road tests to verify safe operation post-repairs.
• Prepare repair and maintenance documentation for compliance.
• Repair vehicle systems and replace defective parts.
• Respond to road calls for emergency field repairs.
