Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Painter Technician to handle all aspects of production painting for fleet vehicles. Responsibilities include prepping, sanding, painting, decal placement, and maintaining supplies and equipment in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires 2–3 years of automotive bodywork experience, paint sprayer familiarity, and the ability to pass safety and respirator tests.

Qualifications

2–3 years experience in automotive accident repair, including panel repair and bodywork.
Paint sprayer experience preferred.
Experience with surface preparation, sanding, filling, priming, and painting preferred.
Must be able to pass pulmonary test and respirator fit test.

Responsibilities

Complete various painting projects including fleet vehicles/equipment.
Perform prepping duties including sanding, scraping, painting, and decals.
Mix and measure paint and primer to manufacturer specifications.
Maintain the truck pressure washer, inventorying supplies.
Ensure all safety decals are on completed jobs.
Perform general maintenance, body work, and vehicle repair on fleet vehicles as needed.
Maintain painting and decal supplies; inspect finished work for coverage and adhesion.
Complete inventory and paperwork using the computer system.
