Job summary

Wyoming Fleet / Auto Services in Casper, WY is seeking a Fleet Vehicle Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and service a diverse fleet. The role offers a day shift with occasional Saturday work and a $30–$40 hourly DOE wage.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, test drives, keep records, and maintain inventory while delivering excellent customer service. GED and a valid driver's license are required, along with proven mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle/equipment condition.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to keep equipment available for use.
• Correct vehicle deficiencies by repairing or replacing components and systems.
• Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance and adjust controls and systems as necessary.
• Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements.
• Keep detailed records of services and repairs.
• Manage shop equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Control costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service/part options.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and parts.
• Provide excellent customer service, including clear communication with clients regarding their vehicles.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Be prepared for field inspections and repairs in various weather conditions.

The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and as part of a team and have experience with a diverse fleet of vehicles, including gas and diesel-powered, and medium-duty diesel vehicles.
