About the Role

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Fleet Diesel Mechanic to join a growing team in Gillette, Wyoming. This is a hands-on shop position focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the company's fleet of diesel trucks, semi-trucks, trailers, and support vehicles.

The goal is simple: when a truck leaves the shop, it needs to be safe, reliable, and ready to work. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues, completing repairs, and staying ahead of preventative maintenance to help minimize downtime across the fleet.

This position is primarily focused on diesel trucks and fleet vehicles rather than large heavy construction equipment. There may be opportunities to work on smaller support equipment such as pumps, light plants, forklifts, and similar equipment as needed.

We're looking for a strong mechanic first. Previous leadership experience is not required. For someone interested in growing professionally, there may be opportunities to take on additional leadership responsibilities over time.

  • Complete oil and fluid changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and routine services.
  • Perform vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Complete or support DOT inspections and required fleet maintenance.
  • Identify potential problems before they result in breakdowns or unnecessary downtime.
