Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is hiring a vehicle maintenance technician to support the upkeep and repair of trucks and trailers, ensuring equipment is available and in optimal condition.

You will work with mechanics and supervisors on diagnostics, parts replacement, and preventive maintenance. The role requires 1–3 years of mechanic experience, familiarity with the DOT regulations, and the ability to read and write English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 to 3 years of mechanic, maintenance, or related experience.
• Certification and/or License – Mechanic certification, CDL license, refrigeration license, or other relevant licenses may be required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle and preventive maintenance, component replacements, and minor repairs.
• Maintain, repair, inspect, and/or replace brakes, steering, springs, tires, lights, and related systems.
• Perform facility maintenance duties as needed.
• Use shop management system and other electronic systems.
• Diagnose minor mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Interact with drivers to determine nature of complaints and plan repairs.
• Adhere to safety, DOT, and company policies; complete work orders accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper PPE.
