Job summary

Socket.dev's Wilks Truck Center in Decatur, AL is seeking a Commercial Service Technician to perform light mechanical maintenance on commercial trucks and trailers, including lube, oil changes, alignments, brakes, and DOT inspections.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of commercial experience, own tools, be at least 21, and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; ASE/DOT certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform light mechanical maintenance on commercial trucks and trailers.
• Lube, oil changes, and filter service.
• Perform alignments and front end suspension work.
• Work on brakes & air systems; DOT annual inspections.
• Identify service requirements from drivers and communicate to supervisors.
• Submit accurate service tickets and documentation.
• Respond to service calls with on-site repairs or replacements.
• Keep service area and equipment clean and organized.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to safety rules.
