Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Garage Mechanic to service and diagnose trucks and trailers, including DOT/state inspections and occasional road calls to keep the fleet on the road.

The role requires 3 years of truck repair experience, 21+ years of age, ability to pass DOT Physical and Road Test, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of light/medium duty truck repair experience.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Pass DOT Physical and DOT Road Test.
• Ability to obtain Chauffeur License if job location is IN, MI, TN.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand or stoop for extended periods.
• Able to work 8+ hour shifts, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• English language proficiency sufficient to communicate with the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical repairs needed for trucks and trailers to keep vehicles safe and operable.
• Inspect trucks to verify DOT compliance and repair as required.
• Provide preventative maintenance, repairs and Federal inspections of the fleet.
• Respond to road calls in a timely manner.
