Job summary

Orion International is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support safety initiatives, training, compliance, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced transportation and distribution environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong safety or military leadership background, experience enforcing standards, conducting training and inspections, and building a proactive safety culture, with the ability to obtain a CDL within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience enforcing safety standards in high-paced environments.
• Experience conducting training, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels and maintain safety records.

Responsibilities

• Support and enforce company safety policies and procedures
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and training
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Assist with incident investigations and documentation
• Maintain safety records and compliance documentation
• Work directly with employees and leadership to improve safety performance
• Help reinforce a proactive, accountable safety culture
• Support transportation/fleet safety initiatives as needed
