Job summary

U-Haul is seeking skilled Tire Mounting & Dismounting Technicians to keep our fleet at peak condition. This role involves mounting and dismounting tires, inspecting wear, and performing repairs on trucks and trailers, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You will be trained through our Technician Training Program and have opportunities for advancement within a family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Mechanical aptitude or tire service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a shop environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of repair experience preferred.
• Driver's license.
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, and balance tires on trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
• Perform tire repairs and maintain proper tire pressures.
• Operate tire service equipment safely and efficiently.
• Help keep our fleet road-ready while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
