Job summary

Shrader Tire and Oil is seeking a Commercial Tire Technician to join our Detroit area fleet service team. You will perform tire mounting, installation, preventive maintenance and documentation, and provide emergency roadside tire service during business hours and after-hours as needed.

Ideal candidates will be able to lift up to 50 pounds, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and be available for 24/7 on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for all tire related services including mounting, installation, inventory, preventative maintenance, repairs, and documentation.
• Provide Emergency Roadside Service during business hours and at night 24/7 for roadside tire repairs or replacement.
• Perform yard checks, visual inspections, tread depth checks, air pressure checks and document findings.
• Follow proper mounting/dismounting guidelines for tires.
