Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Maintenance & Equipment technician focused on fleet tires. You will perform tire-related tasks per policy, with adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, manuals, and vehicle specs.

The role requires ability to lift 65 pounds and operate a computerized maintenance-management system. Applicants must be 20+, have a valid driver's license, be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and demonstrate teamwork and initiative while

Qualifications

• Be at least 20 years old
• Have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before their start date in the position)
• Be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• Be able to lift a minimum of 65 pounds
• Be capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system
• Be able to read, write, and solve math problems
• Be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
• Be able to read and interpret technical manuals
• Must have the ability to work well with others and be a team member
• Must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and
• Must show commitment to Publix’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Performing a number of functions on a variety of tires for fleet equipment according to company policy; federal, state, and local regulations; repair manuals; factory specifications; and their own knowledge of the fleet vehicles and equipment tires
