Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Orlando, FL is seeking a tire service technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires on passenger cars, light trucks, and heavy trucks. You will diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, respond to roadside service calls, and perform fleet inspections while maintaining TPMS and safety protocols.

Role requires 21+, valid license with clean record, potential overtime, and ability to lift 30–250 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Possible overtime may be required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work involving repetitive motion, forceful exertion, and working in awkward postures or under vibration.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across various vehicle types.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck when needed.
• Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).
• Conduct fleet inspections and routine maintenance.
• Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic regulations.
