Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Telematics Installation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair GPS and fleet-technology systems on commercial equipment. The role combines automotive electrical work with fleet tech in a shop setting.

Primary focus is 12V/24V systems, wiring, diagnostics, and secure mounting. Collaboration with Shop Manager and maintenance teams is essential to minimize downtime and ensure quality installations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automotive/diesel fleet installations.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use a digital multimeter.
• High school diploma or GED; vocational training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate, and repair GPS and telematics devices on fleet assets.
• Perform 12V/24V electrical wiring for power, ignition, and grounds.
• Install and support related fleet technology including ELDs, dash cameras, sensors, and antennas.
• Route and secure wiring to produce safe, durable installations.
• Document installations with serial numbers, assets, photographs, and notes.
• Maintain inventory of GPS units, cameras, wiring, and connectors.
