Salt Lake County seeks a skilled technician to manage daily fuel truck operations and perform maintenance on a range of equipment, including gas, diesel, CNG, and electric vehicles. A valid CDL with Tanker/HazMat endorsements is required, as well as a Utah driver’s license and medical card.

Two years of related experience and a complete tool set are required. The county offers comprehensive benefits, a stable career path, and opportunities for growth within a supportive community.

Competenze

• Two (2) years of equivalent experience in a field closely related to these duties; up to one year of education may be substituted for experience.
• Must possess a complete set of tools at the time of hire.
• A valid Driver’s License accepted by the state of Utah is required at the time of hire; must obtain Utah license within six months.
• Must possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at hire or obtain Class B CDL within thirty days to operate a Salt Lake County vehicle.
• Must possess a Tanker/HAZMAT endorsement
• Must possess a current Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Medical Card at hire.
• Must pass a verified negative drug test before starting; random testing applies; potential post-accident testing.

Mansioni

• Operates the daily fuel truck operations.
• Performs maintenance and repairs on light, medium, and heavy equipment including gas, diesel, CNG, and electric vehicles.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems and determines parts required.
• Maintains records and reports such as inspections and fleet management data.
• Drives heavy equipment and trucks for shop maintenance and road tests.
