Job summary

Sysco Florida aims to keep its fleet of tractors, trailers, and related equipment in peak condition by carrying out preventive maintenance inspections and timely repairs. You will learn diagnosis and repair techniques to reduce road downtime and boost overall fleet reliability.

Role requires adherence to safety procedures, accurate SAP documentation, and collaboration with management to schedule work efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year technical training in medium/heavy-duty trucks or related field.
• 1 year experience with 2-year technical degree or 3 years of fleet maintenance experience.
• ASE Certification - Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty (preferred).
• Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEM & component manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to maximize safety and reliability.
• Perform repairs and diagnostics to manufacturer specifications across engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Document all work in the Work Order system (SAP) using standard format.
• Collaborate with management to create a prioritized maintenance schedule.
