Job summary

MLGW seeks a Fleet Technician 2 to perform maintenance and repairs on Division vehicles and heavy equipment in shop or field settings. You will diagnose breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and manage parts and documentation in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires an associate degree or completion of the Fleet Technician 1 Apprenticeship, and 4 years of diagnostic/maintenance experience or equivalent ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or apprenticeship completion with strong diagnostics and repair skills.
• High school diploma or GED required with automotive background.
• ASE certifications from approved list preferred: A1–A9, T1–T8, H1–H8, MIL1–MIL8, S1–S8.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive vehicles, medium-duty trucks and heavy equipment.
• Perform in-shop or field service calls and basic welding/cutting as needed.
• Prepare time sheets, order parts, and maintain safety and quality standards.
