Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, and two years of automotive or heavy truck servicing, maintenance, and repair experience OR completion of an accredited automotive or diesel training program. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform journey-level repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of automotive and small equipment.
• Assist Fleet Technicians II and III with general repairs on diverse equipment and vehicles (e.g., solid waste vehicles, construction equipment, fire apparatus, bucket trucks).
