Job summary

Cities, Inc. in Melbourne, FL is seeking a skilled technician to repair, recondition, and perform preventive maintenance on automotive, light/medium/heavy trucks, Fire apparatus, and industrial/construction equipment.

You will diagnose and repair drive train, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, water pump, cooling, and brake systems; perform field service calls and emergency repairs; and maintain records while coordinating parts and tools to ensure efficient repair work.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, reconditions, and performs preventative maintenance and service work and inspections on automotive, light/medium /heavy truck, Fire apparatus, and industrial/construction equipment.
• Maintains and repairs varied equipment systems to include, but not limited to; drive train, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, water pump, heat/air conditioning, cooling, and brakes.
• Makes service calls and emergency repairs in the field as required.
• Maintains records and reports, requests parts and materials, and requisitions tools and equipment as required for the efficient performance of assigned repair work.
• Ability to identify replacement parts using manuals and other reference materials, requests parts and materials, and requisitions tools and equipment as required for the efficient performance of assigned repair work.
• Ability to operate a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone as a reference tool, as a diagnostic tool, and as a tracking tool for work orders, parts, and labor entry.
• Ability to work regularly scheduled hours and respond to emergency situations if required.
