Job summary

Perdue Transportation Incorporated in Dillon, SC, is seeking a Fleet Technician to maintain and repair our fleet, performing preventive maintenance and diagnostics to keep equipment safe and reliable.

This hands-on role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and experience with fleet repair; CDL and ASE/OEM certs are preferred. Schedule Sunday-Thursday 3pm to 11:30pm; join a safety-minded, team-driven operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 1+ year mechanical repair experience.
• 3+ years direct fleet/heavy equipment experience for intermediate level.
• CDL Class A preferred; ASE and/or OEM certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and service vehicle systems including brakes, air systems, electrical, hydraulics, and driveline components.
• Utilize OEM diagnostic software to identify equipment failures and determine repair methods.
• Service engine emission systems, HVAC, and perform welding or fabrication as needed.
• Accurately complete work orders and evaluate repairs to ensure DOT and company standards.
• Respond to road calls and perform emergency repairs as necessary.
• Senior technicians mentor Level I/II technicians and support repair strategy decisions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations.
