Job summary

City of Bellmead seeks a Fleet Technician to maintain the City's vehicles and equipment and perform minor repairs under the Streets Superintendent's supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, 2 years' maintenance experience, a valid Class C Texas driver's license (Class B CDL preferred), and may pursue ASE/EVT certification to advance in the role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of vehicle/equipment maintenance and repair experience, including one year in a specialized area.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License required; Class B CDL preferred.
• ASE and/or EVT certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the Streets Superintendent, maintain City vehicles and equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are in good working condition through routine maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two (2) years' experience in general vehicle or equipment maintenance and repair, including one (1) year of experience in a specialized area; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training and/or education that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License is required; a Class B Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
• Automotive Service Excellence and/or Emergency Vehicle Technician is desired.
