Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or formal training in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a semi truck and trailer mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and fuel systems. CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repairs: perform routine maintenance, inspections, and complex repairs on semi trucks and trailers to ensure safety and performance.
• Diagnosis: use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Safety Compliance: ensure vehicles meet federal and state safety regulations and standards, including hazardous materials considerations in fuel tanker trailers.
• Record Keeping: maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs, parts used, and labor hours for compliance.
• Team Collaboration: work with mechanics and technicians to achieve goals and share expertise.
• Continuous Learning: stay updated with industry trends and evolving best practices in truck and trailer maintenance.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
