Job summary

Colonial-Group-In is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to service a diverse fleet of Class 5-8 vehicles, including fuel and chemical tankers, dry vans, and support equipment. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with DOT/FMCSA/OSHA, and efficient fleet operation.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs, utilize diagnostic tools, and maintain accurate repair records while responding to road calls as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and experience with Class 5-8 trucks/trailers.
• Proficient reading of service manuals and diagrams.
• Experience with diesel engines, air brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 trucks, tractors, trailers, tankers, and support equipment.
• Conduct DOT inspections and complete maintenance documentation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
