Job summary

Advantage Ambulance is seeking a Fleet Support Technician to maintain our fleet, ambulance equipment, EMS inventory, and supplies across deployment centers and stations. You will also care for the headquarters grounds and respond to repairs as needed.

The role requires a CA Driver License with a clean driving record and at least 6 months experience in fleet maintenance and inventory management. Strong organizational skills and the ability to ensure units are road-ready are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CA driver license and a clean driving record.
• Minimum 6 months experience in fleet/vehicle maintenance and 6 months experience in inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure units are properly stocked and road-worthy.
• Restock units as supplies are used and keep units in-service for shifts.
• Maintain station inventory levels and submit vehicle repair requests.
• Transport company vehicles to service centers and outlying stations.
• Monitor EMS inventory and track re-orders; report mechanical and electrical issues.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Fleet Support Technician (FST) is primarily responsible for maintaining Advantage's fleet, ambulance equipment, EMS inventory, and EMS supplies. The Vehicle Service Technician will also be responsible for maintaining the grounds which includes the interior and exterior of our headquarters and/or deployment center and as assigned, stations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• CA Driver License
• Acceptable Driving Record with valid Driver History Report (DMV printout or online version obtained within the last 30 days)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 6 months + experience in fleet/vehicle maintenance
• 6 months + experience in inventory

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CA Ambulance Driver Certificate
• CA State Emergency Medical Technician Certificate
• County EMT Verification
• BLS Provider

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure units are properly stocked
• Ensure units are road-worthy
• Restock units as supplies are used
• Having units in-service and ready to go when crews start their shifts.
• Maintaining station inventory levels.
• Submitting Vehicle Repair Requests.
• Transport company vehicles to and from service centers and outlying stations
• Monitor EMS inventory and track re-orders
• Reporting any mechanical as well as electrical problems with units.
