Job summary

ManpowerGroup is recruiting a Fleet Support Engineer in Foster City, CA to support the Vehicle Development department. You will act as the primary technical contact for real-time escalations, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions for powertrain and vehicle dynamics issues.

The role requires a strong powertrain background, EV knowledge, and practical experience with high and low voltage systems. Collaboration with field technicians and rapid knowledge sharing are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace or autonomous vehicles with focus on powertrain, energy storage or charging systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering.
• Ability to safely troubleshoot low and high voltage systems.

Our client, a leader in transportation and autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Development department supporting the Fleet Support Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for real-time escalations regarding powertrain and vehicle dynamics issues.
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis to implement both interim and permanent corrective actions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to powertrain performance, energy consumption, and charging.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for powertrain components to empower field technicians and drive knowledge sharing.
• Validate and perform component and vehicle bring-up/functional verification procedures, focusing on powertrain systems.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with a focus on powertrain, energy storage, or charging systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering.
• Ability to safely troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Hands-on experience with powertrain systems, including electric motors, inverters, and battery management systems.
• Deep understanding of electric vehicle (EV) technology and powertrain control strategies.
