Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a general shop technician to assist with maintenance of tractors, trailers, and related equipment under supervision. You will help with inspections, repairs, and documentation to support a safe, reliable fleet.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and basic computer skills. Must be able to lift up to 110 pounds and operate tools and vehicles as directed. This role requires teamwork and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Basic computer skills
• Able to lift approximately 110 pounds with assistance
• Safe operation of vehicles and equipment
• Ability to enter/exit truck cab safely
• Team-oriented and independent work capability

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs with technicians.
• Support shop operations with setup, cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
• Prepare electronic and manual records.
• Assist safety inspections and document work.
• Move parts to/from the job site and install parts as directed.
• Assist fleet maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Use power and hand tools as directed by leadership.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
