Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Manteca, CA seeks a full-time Fleet Shop Manager to lead the fleet shop and oversee a second site in Watsonville, CA. Travel will be required. The role drives safety, regulatory compliance, and productivity while managing a team of technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience and 2+ years of leadership experience or high school diploma with 8+ years of experience and 4+ years of leadership.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR to operate company vehicles in DOT-compliant environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage in-house team of technicians to ensure safety, compliance, and cost control while minimizing downtime.
• Oversee fleet maintenance operations, budgeting, parts inventory, and regulatory standards including DOT/OSHA.
• Utilize AssetWorks to manage fleet assets, maintenance scheduling, and data accuracy.
• Report KPIs via PowerBI dashboards to monitor facility performance and drive cost reductions.
• Oversee fleet maintenance budget and implement strategies to improve spending efficiency.

Responsibilities

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a full-time Fleet Shop Managerto oversee our fleet shop in Manteca, CA with experience in both fleet operations and hands on trailer/tractor experience. The Fleet Manager will also oversee the Watsonville, CA site and travel will be required.

Shift:Full-TimelMonday-Friday-Day Shift -Must be flexible to support all shiftsPay: $100,000-110,000K annually (Based on experience and qualifications) + Potential annual Bonus of 15%

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage the in-house team of Technicians to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance while controlling costs, minimizing vehicle downtime, maintaining accurate records, and driving initiatives to enhance productivity and service levels.

• Oversee fleet maintenance operations, including repair quality, parts inventory control, budgeting, transactional data quality, and compliance with company, state, and federal standards, including DOT and OSHA regulations

• Utilize AssetWorks to manage and track fleet assets, ensuring accurate record-keeping, maintenance scheduling, and data analysis to improve asset performance and lifespan

• Utilize and report on key performance metrics (KPI’s) through PowerBI dashboards, identify and provide data-driven insights to monitor facility performance and trends, and make informed decisions to optimize fleet operations and reduce expenses

• Manage the fleet maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations by monitoring expenses, analyzing financial metrics, and implementing strategies to enhance spending efficiency and reduce overall costs

• Leverage extensive maintenance experience to oversee and guide all repair and preventative maintenance activities, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across the fleet

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree with 5 plus years of related experience and 2 plus years of leadership experience or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma or Technical School Certification with 8 plus years of specific experience and 4 plus years of leadership experience

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
