MMT Ambulance is seeking a Fleet Shop Foreman to lead diagnostics, PMs, and repairs of our ambulance fleet. You will mentor technicians, document work in our Fleet Information System, and coordinate parts and service orders.

This role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing EMS environment. With a comprehensive benefits package and access to CAPCE-accredited training, you will contribute to reliable, high-quality patient transport across

Competenze

• 5+ years in diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of motor vehicles/light trucks.
• Ability to document maintenance in Fleet Information System.
• Able to lead and mentor technician staff.
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and fleet systems.
• Proficient in MS Office and telematics.
• Strong communication and decision-making under pressure.
• ASE or manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Experience with ambulance or emergency vehicles is a plus.

Make a difference with us!The Fleet Shop Foreman is responsible for performing and documenting diagnostics, PM and repairs to vehicles, managing and supporting the technician staff, as well as, administration functions of the department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs vehicles and equipment.Leads, assists, mentors the assigned Fleet Technicians in their dutiesEnsures all vehicle maintenance and repairs are documented in the computerized Fleet Information System.Coordinates vehicle repair and logistics with crews and management; coordinates and approves parts and internal/external service orders.Participates in technician recruitment and selection processPerforms administrative duties as requiredPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.Noise level in the work environment can be loud.This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.Qualifications:5 years technical experience in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of motor vehicle and/or light trucksAbility to properly document all maintenance and repairs in written format, in the computerized Fleet Information System.Leadership ExperienceValid driver’s license and good driving recordSelf-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stressPossess good verbal communication skills .Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and equipment, fleet maintenance management systems, and telematics systems.Working competencies with MS Office programs.Prior ambulance or emergency vehicle and equipment knowledge and understanding of various state requirementsASE or manufacturer’s Certification preferredProficiency in light diesel and gas truck engines preferred.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
