Job summary

GM Financial is seeking a Fleet Servicing Specialist to manage Fleet Service accounts, handling billing inquiries, portal assistance, collections, and general servicing tasks. You will collaborate with internal teams, dealers and vendors to optimize processes and outcomes.

Responsibilities include maintaining complex accounts, leading improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with policies. A fast-paced environment requires strong communication, detail-orientation, and deadline management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive servicing systems and web applications.
• Knowledge of dealership, fleet/commercial finance operations.
• Knowledge of servicing procedures for Fleet customers.
• Understanding of state and federal laws relevant to collections and repossession.

Responsibilities

About the role:

The Fleet Servicing Specialist is responsible for effectively servicing Fleet Service accounts while using strategies that align with all legal, regulatory, departmental, and company standards. Frequent tasks may include, but are not limited to, billing inquiries, fleet service questions, assistance with MyFleet Account online customer portal, collection efforts, and general account servicing tasks. The Fleet Servicing Specialist will collaborate with internal departments, customers, dealers, and external vendors in servicing Fleet Service customers. The Fleet Servicing Specialist will assist with the research, development and implementation of new departmental processes

In This Role You Will

• Provide exceptional customer service within any servicing channel to a timely and desirable resolution
• Perform account maintenance of complex and high exposure accounts to support customer retention
• Monitor and maintain a closed loop feedback process to ensure that all Fleet customer requests and expectations are exceeded
• Assist in leading projects, research efforts, special assignments and serve as a subject matter expert
• Establish open communication and build professional relationships with other departments/segments and external vendors
• Service accounts through inbound, outbound, and email channels to ensure service levels, account resolution, and timely processing of customer requests
• Utilize collection tools appropriately
• Identify and develop process enhancements
• Conform with all company policies and procedures

• Knowledge of automotive servicing systems and web applications
• Knowledge of the dealership, fleet/commercial and indirect auto finance industry operations
• Knowledge of servicing procedures and strategies for Fleet customers
• Knowledge of state and federal laws (e.g., FDCPA, SCRA, repossession and bankruptcy)
• Knowledge of GM Financials core business functions, policies and procedures
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interface with all levels of management
• Ability to meet deadlines while effectively managing multiple tasks/projects at once

Additional Knowledge And Skills

Working effectively within an AI enabled environment:

• Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work
• Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
• Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
• Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection

Work Experience & Education

• 3-5 years in related field preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
