Gain valuable hands‑on experience by assisting our General Services Bureau perform the important work behind the scenes that keeps our entire organization operating smoothly as we manage the water supply and protect our water quality. You will be provided with an opportunity to gain experience in areas such as repairs to District vehicles and equipment. Other tasks may include ordering and tracking of parts/supplies needed for different projects, completing paperwork/tracking of repairs, and cleaning parts, tools, and shop equipment. In joining our team, you'll play an important role in enhancing the results to ensure a brighter future for the environment of Florida.

Must have ability to lift and carry 30 pounds while walking. May be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to extremely hot, humid weather conditions, mosquitoes and other pests. May be exposed to materials that are classified as hazardous, VOC products with the use of specialized PPE equipment. May be exposed to elements including the sun and rain during entire work period. Must be able to bend, squat and climb on a regular basis. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
