CITY OF PITTSBURG seeks a Fleet Manager to coordinate asset management for city vehicles across departments, vendors, and the ELA. The role oversees procurement, registration, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring a sustainable fleet plan aligned with growth and fiscal responsibility.
You will supervise the Fleet Services team, maintain records, conduct inspections, implement policies for compliance, and provide quarterly procurement and asset reports to the ELA Board.
The role of Fleet Manager serves as the liaison between the City Departments, Bureaus or Divisions, Transdev Fleet Services, and outside vendors. The Fleet Service Manager is the primary individual who coordinates and oversees the asset management full lifecycle of company vehicles, from procurement and registration to maintenance and eventual disposal or replacement. They are responsible for creating a sustainable plan for the City’s fleet that reflects growth and financial responsibility.
The Fleet Manager also must maintain detailed records, conduct inspections, and implement policies to ensure compliance and transparency across City and Authority guidelines.
This role also works closely with and supervises other members of the Fleet Services team to ensure funding authorizations, procurement guidelines, and asset management are efficiently executed.
