Job summary

Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) in Aspen, Colorado, seeks a Fleet Service Worker to fuel, clean, and prepare buses (including BEV and CNG) for service. This full‑time role supports the Maintenance Department and requires safe handling of heavy equipment and data entry into fleet systems.

The position emphasizes routine maintenance, safety practices, and teamwork; prior experience is not required as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• DOT Physical Exam Certificate required.
• UST Certification (Class C) required.
• CNG Fuel Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles in strict compliance with RFTA policies and applicable laws.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks: fueling, charging, washing, and assistance to mechanics.
• Cleans interiors of buses and updates vehicle data in systems.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and documents actions in written/electronic formats.
