Job summary

Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) in Aspen, Colorado, is seeking a Fleet Service Worker to support the Maintenance Department. The role involves cleaning, servicing, and moving transit vehicles and equipment, with a starting pay range of $20.35–$26.37 per hour based on experience.

Selected candidate will perform fueling, washing, and routine maintenance, assist mechanics, and ensure vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license; Colorado license within 90 days.
• Valid DOT Physical Exam Certificate.
• UST Certification (Class C) and CNG Fuel Certification.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to read/write/understand English for safety and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles in compliance with policies and laws.
• Performs routine maintenance: fueling, charging, cleaning, and washing buses and equipment.
• Assists mechanics as needed.
• Updates vehicle tracking and maintenance systems.
• Documents actions in written/electronic format.
• Attend safety meetings and training.
