Job description

Automotive Service Technician

Customer satisfaction is a result of your personal work habits and ethics and is of utmost importance as part of your job function.

The Service Technician is responsible for setting personal service improvement goals and monitoring progress against customer satisfaction index numbers and production targets provided by the Service Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Primary Responsibilities:
2. Correctly troubleshoot customer concerns using the latest administrative and technical tools provided.
3. Show common courtesy toward all customers.
4. Act as a secondary customer greeter in the Service Drive for customers not yet acknowledged.
5. Keep up to date with all technical publications, Service Communication, and Asist terminal operations.
6. Ensure safe and high-quality vehicle service is delivered as promised the first time.
7. Address all original customer concerns before pursuing additional sales.
8. Inspect every vehicle for additional sales opportunities, ensuring maintenance aligns with local and factory recommendations.
9. Return vehicles to customers clean or cleaner than when received.
10. Participate in factory or in-house training programs offered.
11. Complete all paperwork accurately, attaching all required shop forms to the RO hard copy.
12. Perform any other duties assigned by the Service Manager, ASM, or Group Leader.
13. Arrive on time, prepared to work, in a clean uniform.

• Superior customer service skills.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Good judgment.
• Valid State driver's license and a good driving record.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical aptitude demonstrated by ASE certification.
• Technical or trade school degree preferred.
