Job summary

Walmart in Seymour, IN is seeking a Service Shop Repair Technician to perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and parts replacements on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, and service vehicles. You will document work orders, support warranty processes, and ensure repairs are completed right the first time.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of tractor/trailer repair experience or a technical school certificate, a valid driver's license, and FMCSA-qualified brake and vehicle

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualification per FMCSA 396.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualification per FMCSA 396.19.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment.
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, parts, consult as needed.
• Conduct diagnostics using technical equipment on engines, electronics, drivetrains, and minor HVAC.
• Receive fuel drops, monitor safety, and collect paperwork.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document maintenance and warranty claims.
