Job summary

Walmart Transportation in Greencastle, IN is seeking a Service Shop Repair Technician to perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and replacements on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, and service vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance.

You will document work orders, use diagnostic tools, and support warranty processes while aligning with DOT requirements. A technical school degree or two years' experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in tractor/trailer inspection or technical school certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Brake inspection qualified per FMCSA regulations 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified per FMCSA regulations 396.19.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles).
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, consult as needed, and select repair solutions.
• Conduct minor diagnostics using technical/electronic equipment on engines, electronics, drivetrains, and minor HVAC.
• Document work entries and support warranty processes to ensure repairs are correctly completed.
