Job summary

Walmart Transportation in Seymour, IN seeks a Service Shop Repair Technician to keep trailers, tractors, and service vehicles safe and available. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs, document work orders, and support warranty processes to ensure first-time accuracy.

The role requires 2 years of experience or a technical/trade credential in heavy-duty maintenance, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
Valid state-issued driver's license.
Brake inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Sec. 396.25.
Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Sec. 396.19.
Experience using diagnostic tools and maintaining maintenance records.

Responsibilities

Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles).
Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, consult as needed, and select repair solutions.
Conduct minor diagnostics using technical/electronic equipment on engines, electronics, drivetrains, and minor HVAC.
Receive fuel drops, monitor safety compliance, and collect/prepare fuel paperwork.
Identify warrantable repairs and complete maintenance entries, warranty tags, parts retention, and warranty claims per guidelines.
