Job summary

PACCAR's service operation in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the fleet maintenance facility of several hundred trucks. You will oversee preventative maintenance, supervise a team, and coordinate repairs while controlling costs and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have at least seven years of shop supervision, ASE certifications, and a track record in cost management, safety, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years shop supervision or management experience.
• ASE certifications or equivalent technician / mechanic experience.
• Proficient in safety best practices.
• Strong work ethic and goal oriented.
• Ability to motivate and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program.
• Direct all maintenance activity with current and prospective customers. Coordinates outside repairs and follow up.
• General supervision of Service Department personnel including scheduling, performance appraisal and training.
• Actively participate in recruitment activities at relevant technical schools.
• Investigate accidents and injuries and create action plans as needed.
• Administrative duties including computerized reports and shop paperwork.
• Remain current with emerging truck technology and business tools.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers and manage cost control.
