Job summary

SunCoast Blood Centers is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership for the Fleet Operations Department, designing and implementing a comprehensive fleet program that ensures safety, reliability, compliance, and cost-efficiency across all fleet assets supporting blood collection, laboratory work, distribution, and organizational services.

The role leads the development of the department, including budgeting, policy creation, vendor management, and long-term strategic

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of fleet operations experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience developing preventive maintenance programs and vehicle lifecycle strategies.
• Experience managing operational and capital budgets.
• Experience with fleet management software, GPS telematics, maintenance management systems, and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Fleet Operations Department.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet operations program.
• Establish KPIs to measure fleet performance, safety, compliance, and efficiency.
• Develop long-term fleet strategies for growth and continuity.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, inspection, and readiness programs for all vehicles and mobile units.
• Coordinate vendor relationships, contracts, procurement, and fleet-related purchasing.
