Job summary

Famous Supply is hiring a Transportation Manager in Columbus, OH, overseeing vendor, customer, and branch deliveries with a focus on service excellence. You will supervise a 20-person team, ensure DOT compliance, and drive safety initiatives while optimizing routes and performance.

Annual salary ranges from $60,000 to $70,000, with shift hours 6:00am-3:00pm and opportunities for leadership development within a family-owned, values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Routing experience required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership experience with coaching and mentorship.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for after-hours emergency support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains truck fleet in a safe and cost-effective manner per company and government standards.
• Lead delivery planning and daily operations using Famous Logistics Systems to meet customer delivery expectations.
• Supervise 15+ drivers; conduct monthly 1-2-1s; actively mentor and coach staff.
• Direct investigations of accidents or unsafe conditions with HR safety team.
• Oversee fuel purchases and driver performance to optimize truck efficiency.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to provide optimal delivery solutions.
• Monitor regulations and safety standards across Federal & State DOT requirements.
• Route and cover shifts for 2 routers if needed.
• Document associate performance issues and corrective actions.
