Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for higher responsibilities.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation operations management including DOT rules & regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of team members.
• Manage safety, legality, ethics, profitability and service quality.
• Ensure timely and accurate response to inquiries and proactive monitoring of loads.
• Lead customer interactions to promote Ascend and strengthen relationships.
• Interface with vendors and customers on operations duties.
• Drive issue resolution and improve inefficient processes.
• Share operational metrics with General Manager and align with goals.
• Set schedules to meet customer needs and administer safety programs.
• Lead driver performance coaching, discipline, and compliance with policies.
• Communicate professionally with operations staff, drivers, and management at all levels.
