Job summary

Birch Global Corp. is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Portland, Oregon to oversee the fleet operations, schedule routes, monitor maintenance, and ensure on-time, safe deliveries. The role requires leadership of drivers and collaboration with clients to address shipment concerns.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in transportation or logistics, a strong grasp of safety/regulatory requirements, and excellent communication skills. A CDL may be preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in transportation or logistics, supervising teams.
• Valid CDL license (preferred).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with transportation management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the transportation fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring of vehicles and drivers.
• Ensure that all vehicles and drivers meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with clients and other departments to ensure shipments are delivered on time and according to specifications.
• Monitor fuel consumption and maintenance schedules to optimize costs and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities and prepare reports for management.
• Investigate and resolve any issues or complaints related to transportation services.
• Train and mentor new drivers and team members.
