The State of Alaska, Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Alaska Marine Highway System, is seeking a Port Captain to keep Alaska’s fleet moving. You will lead deck operations across Southeast, Southcentral, and Southwest Alaska, guide vessel crews, and ensure every voyage meets safety, security, compliance, and readiness standards.

Formación

• Five years of experience operating vessels for commerce or transportation.
• Possession of Coast Guard license: 3rd Mate Oceans, Any Gross Tons (Unlimited) or Mate Near Coastal (Inland), Any Gross Tons (Unlimited).
• Graduation from a four-year accredited U.S. Maritime Academy.
• One year of experience operating vessels employed and managed for commerce and/or transportation.
• Equivalent combination of licenses and years of experience may apply.
