Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse seeks a Fleet Manager to oversee the acquisition, operation, and maintenance of the company’s vehicle fleet. Responsibilities include directing drivers, coordinating schedules, and managing vendor relationships to ensure efficient fuel and maintenance services.

Ideal candidates will implement safety and preventive maintenance programs, manage insurance processes when applicable, and track fleet budgets and expenditures.

Qualifications

• Assists with the acquisition, operations, and maintenance of the organization's fleet of motor vehicles.
• Assigns vehicles and drivers, prepares schedules, and oversees dispatch operations.
• Develops and maintains vendor and service provider relationships for fuel, maintenance, and other essential services.
• Develops and implements safety, preventive maintenance, and accident prevention programs.
• May administer insurance policy coverage, negotiate agreements, and participate in claim resolution.
• Manages the fleet expense reporting and budgets.
